How FSU GPA Is Calculated
FSU multiplies each grade's quality-point value by credit hours, then divides total quality points by total credit hours attempted with letter grades.
📝 Worked Example
A sample semester using three FSU courses:
| Course | Credit Hours | Grade | Quality Points | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ENC 1101 | 3.0 | A | 4.00 | 3 × 4.00 = 12.00 |
| MAC 2311 | 4.0 | B+ | 3.25 | 4 × 3.25 = 13.00 |
| PSY 2012 | 3.0 | C− | 1.75 | 3 × 1.75 = 5.25 |
| Total | 10.0 | — | — | 30.25 |
